Every HVAC installation comes with particular restraints and obstacles that can be a challenge but also make for a more gratifying finished product. Here we have an 18 SEER Trane XV18 system that was installed in the Bellaire area of Houston, TX. At this home they are in a more flood prone area due to their proximity to the Brays Bayou. The older condensing unit used to sit on top of cinder blocks. This worked just fine but we were not about to put the Mission Name on a job where we installed a high efficiency system to leave it on top of unstable concrete. So we built the wood platform you see pictured above. This added about a day to the overall installation of the HVAC system but make for a much better aesthetic look for the homeowner.

We are huge fans of Trane’s newest inverter driven HVAC technology. It allows for systems to operate much more efficiently as well are able to increase comfort for lower humidity and are very quiet when in operation.
